veg*n meet-up

hi veggies!

most aspects of being a veg*n are relatively easy, once you get use to them,

but one particular area of life can continue to be a source of strife--the

social aspects of being a veg*n in a non-veg*n world.

this is why melissa and mat decided to start a group, meeting about once a

month, to talk about these experiences--both good and bad.

our first meeting in oakland went very well, with many of us getting a

chance to share some of our frustrations with family since having gone

veg*n. besides being able to vent, and even rant a little bit, we also

gleaned insights from each other on ways to deal with such problems.

our next meeting will be in redwood city at vanda kadas's house at 3:30

pm on sunday, 10/22/06. (reply to this email for an address). she is also

willing to pick people up from their local caltrain station. vanda will

also be providing snacks and beverages.

since i am organizing this event this time, i have decided to employ

a slightly more organized format for our next session:

discussing experiences with family, significant others, friends,

co-workers, and aquaintances in perhaps the reverse order so we can start of

light and slowly delve deeper.

it should be nice to be in a private residency this time seeing as how we

will feel less like, well, we're in public! ^_^

please reply to this email asap so we can get a head count for vanda.
