Guest guest
Hi, There's a free dress rehearsal production of a comedic play called " The Sisters Rozensweig " playing Tuesday night at 8:00 at the Mountain View center for the performing arts on Castro St. performed by the theater group " TheatreWorks " . They rock. OK, if you'd like to meet up beforehand, meet in the parking lot of Congregation Beth David at 7:00 and we'll convoy or ride-share over to the theater together. Beth David is at 19700 Prospect Rd. in Saratoga, in between/in the middle of Lawrence/Saratoga Ave. area and De Anza Blvd. area, next to the Church of the Ascension. Here's a description of the play from the theatreworks.org website. By the way, yes, the play is free, and it's unpublicized. Seating is on a first-come basis. A CAPTIVATING COMEDY By Wendy Wasserstein Directed by Robert Kelley Outer Critics Circle Award - Best Broadway Play 1993 Brilliant. Attractive. Hilarious. Three American sisters meet in London for the 54th birthday of Sara, a fast-track banker who's left her romantic hopes and her Jewish heritage far behind. Joined by Pfeni, a globe-trotting journalist, and Gorgeous, a dervish of a suburban housewife, this sisterhood revisits long-lost roots, newfound love, and a woman's place in a changing world. Nominated for five Tony Awards, this warm and witty comedy is a tribute to the memory of America's premiere female playwright, Pulitzer Prize winner Wendy Wasserstein. " An abundance of humor, heart, and wisdom. " - NEWSDAY RSVP's encouraged. Cheers, Mike
