Guest guest
Santa Cruz County animal control is short on cage space, due to legal proceedings where they must hold a large number of fighting roosters and neglected chickens until the case is decided in court. As a result, cage space is extremely limited and there is no room for all the bunnies. Bunnies make great indoor companions (or outdoor if you do a huge amount of predator-proofing) and they're vegetarian! They can be extremely friendly. If you would like a bunny (or to foster home a bunny), contact Heather at rabbit haven: http://therabbithaven.org/ Or contact animal services: http://www.scanimalservices.us/ Here's some info on predator-proofing (written for chickens, but it's the same idea): http://chicken.meetup.com/3/boards/view/viewthread?thread=1462058 Thanks, Cheryl
