If you've wanted to get more involved, but didn't know where to start ...

Vegetarians. In January we will have an interactive workshop session on

Effective Advocacy for Animals: Leafleting, Letter Writing, and Tabling. A

special presentation on " Activist Rights for Animal Rights " is also

included.

The <http://www.bayareaveg.org/cl> Compassionate Living program examines

and presents information related to vegetarianism and living a compassionate

lifestyle. February's program will be a discussion and review of the

classic " Animal Liberation " by Peter Singer.

____

" This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is

to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world

hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things.

Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one. "

-- Isaac Bashevis Singer
