Guest guest
Hey everyone, The Stanford protest against animal experiments on campus made the front page of yesterday's Stanford Daily. The article is more-or-less fair, but includes a lot of refutable quotes from William Newsome, a Stanford researcher who conducts invasive brain-mapping studies on rhesus monkeys. Please write a letter to the editor of the Daily expressing your support for the campaign against animal testing on campus. The story is at http://daily.stanford.edu/tempo? page=content & id=18289 & repository=0001_article#. People with science backgrounds also carry significant credibility, so those of you with prior medical or science degrees are especially encouraged to write. The same goes for Stanford alums. You don't have to write anything especially substantive or elegant. Really, anything positive you can say will help. The Daily takes letters through its website at http://www.stanforddaily.com/tempo?page=lettertoeditor And please stay tuned for the next demonstration. We can always use more people holding signs! Thanks! Matthew P.S. We also have an article at http://www.indybay.org/news/2005/10/1777286.php.
