Yet again TheatreWorks is opening a new play, this

Tuesday night Aug. 23rd, at 8:00 p.m. in Mountain View

at the Center for the Performing Arts on Castro at

Mercy streets. If you get in line with me at around

7:15/7:30ish we're sure to get in and get good +Free+

seats. You'll like it, they're that good.

 

The play is called " Intimate Apparel " By Lynn Nottage

gift for alteration. The sensuous corsets she creates

are the talk of turn-of-the-century New York, from

reshape her own life as well, the African-American

seamstress chances romance with a stranger known only

through his enticing letters. As the worlds of

intimacy and illusion converge, this poignant,

affectionate portrait explores tradition, identity,

and a woman's place in a man's world.
