Guest guest
I am passing-on this message to SBVS listserve rs on behalf of the American Vegan Society (AVS). -Phil- ===================================================================== The " Kids Vegan Summer Program " will be held at The Farm (publisher of " The Farm Vegetarian Cookbook " and others), from Sunday, August 7th thru Sunday, August 14th, 2005, in Summertown, Tennessee. The Farm is known for its pioneering work in soy-food production, environmental initiatives, midwifery, mushroom growing, international aid, and non-violent activism. The program, which will be directed by Andy Mars of " Kids Make A Difference " (www.KidsMakeADifference.org), will take place in the Ecovillage Training Center in conjuction with the AVS Vegan Conference. Kids aged 7-14 years old will explore and learn in an active hands-on style. They will make some of their own meals, and have fun with a caring attitude to life. The site, set on ridges that capture summer breezes, is surrounded by beautiful land in conservation. Relaxed program scheduling will allow for social time, music, hiking, and afternoons cooling off in the swimming hole. The food there is fantastic!
