April 30-May Day party-Vegan event with live music!

You are invited to May Day, which will be on April 30, 2005, at 11 AM at the

home of Paula Rochelle and Ben Wade.

 

This is the 29th celebration of spring wrapping May Poles with this family

and you and your family are cordially invited.  Bring kids, too as there will

be a kids pole and at least one adult pole.

 

We begin the event by eating at 11 AM, followed by wrapping the kids pole,

then the first adult pole at noon, sun time, or 1 PM PDT. We then eat again!

And if more people want to wrap another pole, we put up another one, and wrap

again. We hope for sun, but take what weather we get, so plan accordingly.

A lively mix of acoustic music from around the world (lotsa Celtic reels and

jigs and more!) will be performed by

Southbayveggies' own Laurie B.Tanenbaum and Friends. Laurie will be playing

mainly fiddle, and Friends will be playing flute, pennywhistle, bouzouki,

guitar, and drums.

 

This event is a function of the Humanist Community, which means all humans

are invited.

 

This is a vegan event. If you want to bring something, we suggest drinks, a

salad (no

dressings or mayo except vegan ones, please), bagels, or fruit. Hot main

dishes, bagel spreads, and dessert will be provided. Please come, whether you

bring something or not.
