Guest guest
Good news! I contacted Asics because I missed wearing their running shoes. I believed that all of their shoes were made with leather. Not the running shoes! According to Asics consumer relations: "All of our Running shoes have been made without Leather for many years. Unless you find a TL### on the inside tongue of the footwear [indicating the shoe be made with leather], then the footwear are a TN### =non-Leather good." Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have contacted Asics in the past and they have told me that the glue they use is synthetic as well (as opposed to animal-based glue). Their running shoes are great. Does anyone have any info about New Balance? Pangea sells New Balance shoes and says they are completely vegan. However, I emailed New Balance a while back and this is a direct quote from them: "please note that we do use different types of gluesdepending on what is available. Also be aware that some of ourglues will contain animal products as many glues do. Even thoughthe shoe contains all synthetic leather does not mean it willbe completely vegan. We do not mix real and synthetic leatherson any shoe. It is either leather or synthetic period." Even after forwarding this info to Pangea, they still told me that New Balance shoes are vegan and they didn't return my last email. If the company tells me they use animal based glue, then I'll go with what they said, rather than Pangea. I'm just sticking with Asics. But, I'm just curious if anyone else has heard anything different. MelTaffy Dugan <taffy wrote: Good news! I contacted Asics because I missed wearing their running shoes.
