Guest guest
As I've found out from my dining experiences, just choosing the wrong dish can negatively impact your view of the restaurant as most invariably have some really good dishes as well as dishes that should not be on the menu. It took me a year to go back to Herbivore because I picked a dish that I didn't ultimately like; once I went back, I found a dish that I really liked and it became one of my regular restaurants. A good review is one of the best ways to attract attention to a restaurant, and the Ultimate Guide (aka "Ultimate Guide to Vegetarian Living in the SF Bay Area") is used by a lot of folks trying to figure out where to eat (folks new to the area, folks new to vegetarianism, etc). I know I'd sure rather go to a restaurant that has several good reviews than one that has poor or no reviews. There is only one review for White Lotus in our restaurant guide, and it's a pretty good one. http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=197 Two South Bay/Peninsula restaurants are In the "top ten" rated on UG, tied at a score of 4.5 : BayLeaf Cafe and Garden Fresh. So consider posting reviews as a form of armchair activism! We've got 36 restaurants listed in the guide for the South Bay, and 2/3 are vegetarian restaurants! If there are places that you regularly dine veg-style at, please check to make sure they are in the guide. By making it more convenient for people to find places to eat vegetarian, this is an easy way to support vegetarianism and the restaurants that support our vegetarian community. http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug As a reminder, you can also print a custom restaurant guide for the South Bay (or entire Bay Area) to take with you on your vegetarian dining travels.. or give to a friend who is interested in eating more vegetarian!
