Guest guest
Hi all, I last night found a very, very sweet little pit bull girl running around without tags or a collar off of Branciforte Dr. in Santa Cruz. She's a wee bit shy at first, but sooo very loving. A search for her caregiver has been unsuccessful (she has a chip and i got the info, but the person is nowhere to be found- i even drove to the registered address to check and found it deserted). I now would just like to find her a good home. In case anyone is interested, i think she would probably do just fine in a home with other dogs, but an ideal home would probably not have any cats as she does seem to have a bit of a prey drive toward them (darts after them, seems stressed). If interested in adopting her, please email Amanda at equalismkitty. As well, if anyone has any advice, feedback, foster offers, please do let me know, 'kay? Thank you!"All beings tremble before violence. All fear death. All love life. See yourself in others. Then whom can you hurt? What harm can you do?" ~BuddhaIf you agree that a dog or cat (or a chimpanzee or lion or gorilla) is significantly different than a book or a car or your shoes, then the notion that they should be treated differently in the eyes of the law is common sense. That animals see, hear, breathe and feel is undisputed — books, cars and shoes do not. The idea of guardianship versus ownership flows naturally from the distinction and simply recognizes it as a legal principle. ~Bruce WagmanCo-Author, Animal Law
