NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PREMIERE

 

Lucie Stern Theatre, Palo Alto

 

Can a light bulb that cures the blues brighten up a

lonely guy's New Year's Eve? A wacky rewiring of Hans

Christian Andersen's The Little Match Girl, this

festive fairy tale features the acclaimed GROOVELILY,

one of the hottest bands in the country. Their sweet,

witty concert-play is a clever mix of musical comedy,

pop-rock tunes, and old-fashioned uplift, illuminated

by an incandescent salesgirl whose holiday spirit just

can't be matched.

 

Show is at the Lucie Stern Theatre at 8. I recommend

we queue up at around 7:15-7:30. The line enters the

theater at around 7:45, so dress warmly if necessary.

 

The Lucie Stern Theatre is an intimate 425 seat

theatre in Palo Alto located at 1305 Middlefield Road

 

DIRECTIONS

 

FROM HIGHWAY 101:

Take Embarcadero Exit West towards Stanford. Turn

right (north) on Middlefield Road. Lucie Stern

Community

Center is on the right within the first block at the

corner

of Melville and Middlefield.

FROM HIGHWAY 280:

Take Page Mill Road heading east. Cross El Camino and

Turn left (north) on Middlefield Road, cross

Embarcadero

and Lucie Stern is on the right within the first block

at the

corner of Melville and Middlefield.

FROM EL CAMINO REAL:

Take Embarcadero east (away from Stanford) and turn

left on Middlefield.

CALTRAIN:

Palo Alto station. From there take bus #35 southbound

towards Foothill College. Stop at Middlefield and

Embarcadero.

Buses run roundtrip for Mon-Fri performances, and

weekend

Matinees (no return trip is available for Sat & Sun

evening
