Guest guest
My EarthSave group is sponsoring this lecture: If you can't make it to Liberation Now at Berkeley this weekend, you can still see Dr. Michael Greger give his talk " Corporate Globalization: Trading Away Our Right to Protect Animals. " Dr. Greger will be at De Anza College on Monday, November 1st. Time: 4:00-6:00 PM, Cost: sliding scale donation (also, parking is $2.00 if you haven't a sticker or you can park across the street for free). No one turned away for lack of funds. This event is a fundraiser for our satellite EarthSave chapter, the De Anza Nutrition and Health Club. Location: De Anza College, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd., Cupertino, CA 95014. Student Center Conference Room B (behind the cafeteria) We've reserved a 150-seat lecture hall for this event. IF YOU RSVP with a $5.00 or more donation we will reserve a front-row seat and raffle entry for you. Visit our website http://bayarea.earthsave.org for details and to RSVP. Social justice and animal advocate Michael Greger, MD. will share his research about how global trade agreements and institutions such as GATT, NAFTA, FTAA, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) have affected animals. This a riveting and thought-provoking talk, infused with historical background and humor. Vegan snacks will be available for purchase. Drawing for prizes (dvds, books, and more) will be held after the lecture. Two ways to RSVP: 1. Leave a message on our voicemail (408) 380-1214 with your name, credit card number and expiration date, number in party, and donation amount. 2. Use our secured online credit card purchase.
