The City of San Jose & #146;s Animal Advisory Committee is currently seeking

dedicated professionals who have an interest in founding and

developing a strong Friends of Animal Care & Services (FACSs)

organization. The impetus of this new 501©3 would be to end the

euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals in our community by

raising funds to support specific San Jose Animal Care Center

programs. FACSs is particularly seeking nominees who have

significant experience in fundraising/donor development,

marketing/public relations and event planning. Qualified candidates

committed to volunteering their time and skills are asked to contact

facs or call (408) 501-2140 to submit an application

by September 22, 2004.

 

When the new municipal animal shelter opens in Fall 2004, the City of

San Jose will also be providing animal services for the cities of

Milpitas, Cupertino, Monte Sereno and Saratoga, so residents of those

cities are encouraged to apply.
