Guest guest
98.1 KISS FM, a popular San Francisco top 40 and hip hop music station heard all over the Bay Area, is giving away tickets to Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus bay area shows in a contest they are advertising in their commercials and on their website. KISS FM has a diverse cross section of listeners, and I urge everyone who cares about the animals to politely ask KISS FM not to continue with this ticket giveaway (for which they are probably being paid by Ringling Brothers), which only encourages people to attend animal shows that they should be boycotting. I have attached the letter I sent to KISS FM as an example, and am including contact information for KISS FM in this email. You might want to mention the recent death of Clyde the Lion as an example of Ringling Brothers negligence. I haven't heard Clyde's death reported anywhere in the mainstream media. KISS FM is apparently owned by Clear Channel. I don't know if Ringling Brothers has a deal with KISS or with Clear Channel to give away their tickets. If we are nice in our correspondance and phone calls, maybe KISS will be more responsible in the future. www.981kissfm.com mailing address: 340 Townsend Street San Francisco, CA 94107 KISS studio phone: 888-3-KISS FM (888-354-7736) KISS studio Fax: 877-KISS-FAX (877-547-7329) KISS Email: kisslistenerservices KISS Business line: 415-975-5555 Tamar Sherman
