Guest guest
Then you may want to consider getting some exercise for both of you while having some fun at the same time! I recently learned of some local (and not necessarily vegetarian) groups that sponsor dog walks. Perhaps if there are enough SBVS members who are interested in a monthly dog walk then we can create our own. But until someone takes the lead on such an event, here are some listings for the other groups: (1)Friday, July 2, 7-9 PM, at Freemont Older State Park A 4-mile, moderately-paced, evening hike (bring a flashlight) >Reservations are required; contact Mary Ann Monahan c/o MidPeninsula Regional Open Space District (650)691-1200 or e-mail at info Website: www.openspace.org (2)Sunday, July 11, Sierra Club hike at East Bay Regional Park A moderate hike where off-leash dogs are welcome. Bring lunch, liquid (for both you and your dog) and a leash. For details and rain date, call Bob at (408)867-4576 by July 8 (3)Saturday, July 24, 6:30-8:30 PM, at Freemont Older State Park A 4-mile, moderately-paced, evening hike (bring a flashlight) >Reservations are required; contact Mary Ann Monahan c/o MidPeninsula Regional Open Space District (650)691-1200 or e-mail at info Website: www.openspace.org (4)Saturday, August 14, 6:30-8:30 PM, at Freemont Older State Park A 4-mile, moderately-paced, evening hike (bring a flashlight) >Reservations are required; contact Mary Ann Monahan c/o MidPeninsula Regional Open Space District (650)691-1200 or e-mail at info Website: www.openspace.org BTW--it is not essential that you bring a dog in order to participate in these events!
