Guest guest
Hi all, I have attached an urgent action alert from PETA that addresses pet overpopulation in California. It also addresses back yard breeders and those that profit from the sale of animals. Please read the information and contact Committee Chair Judy Chu to express your support for AB 2513. It goes for a vote tomorrow, the 19th, so time is of the essence. Thanks!! Deborah California Residents: Save Animal Lives! Dear Friend, Your help is urgently needed. Our nation faces a cat and dog overpopulation crisis, and California is no exception. Assembly Bill 2513—a vital piece of legislation that will help address this issue—is scheduled to be voted on by the Committee on Appropriations on May 19. If later passed by the Legislature, A.B. 2513 will require any individual or corporation selling unaltered cats or dogs to first obtain a permit for either $250 or $1000, depending on the number of intact animals sold in any 12-month period. A.B. 2513 will also make it a crime, punishable by a $200 fine, to sell intact animals on public property at so-called “swap meets” and “flea markets” or to anyone under the age of 18 without written permission from his or her parent or guardian
