Guest guest
Please Help Farm Sanctuary’s ‘No Foie Gras’ campaign! As the hearing date approaches for SB 1520, California’s bill to ban foie gras, we need the help of activists, now more than ever, to help garner support for this groundbreaking piece of legislation. In the next few weeks, Farm Sanctuary needs activists who can help table, distribute flyers around town, or get restaurants to sign the ‘No Foie Gras’ pledge. If you can help with any of these tasks, please let us know: • Tabling—in front of local Pet Club locations, in key districts, to encourage passersby to write a quick note in support of SB 1520. Literature, stamped envelopes, pens and paper, and sample letters will be provided. • Distributing flyers—in coffee shops, book stores, markets and co-ops around town. Getting the word out to the public in support of the bill now is crucial. • Approaching restaurants—in the Bay area and beyond to sign the ‘No Foie Gras’ pledge. We are hoping to present a long list of restaurants eschewing foie gras to legislators, to show them that most citizens and restaurants support a ban on foie gras. Please contact Ariana at Farm Sanctuary if you can help us with any of these events: ahuemer / 510-839-7963.
