Guest guest
I had the pleasure to join Sarah and the South Bay Veggies last evening at the Bay Leaf Cafe in Palo Alto and I am pleased to report that it is another Bay Area treasure. The menu is quite eclectic. Tava suggested his favorite, the Mighty Carrot Wrap, which I would never have thought to try on my own. It turned out to be just terrific, as was the chocolate sundae with homemade vegan "ice cream" and the chai tea. But, the banana crepe desert chosen by many at the table probably got the most accolades. All that is the good news. The bad news is that, like the excellent White Lotus in San Jose, this place had way too many empty tables for a Saturday evening. I hope folks will support the Bay Leaf Cafe before another great Bay Area vegan restaurant bites the dust. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed there. And the South Bay Veggies go there every month. Thanks to Sarah for bringing the group there and turning me onto the place.
