Guest guest Posted January 25, 2004 Report Share Posted January 25, 2004 A friend and I ate at the White Lotus restaurant in downtown San Jose last night for the first time, before going to a Sharks hockey game. We were really impressed by the wonderful taste sensations and excellent service. (They even serve beer in frosted glasses.) But we were also quite surprised and disappointed by the fact that, even on a Saturday evening, there were very few customers there. This place is a local treasure, folks. If you're not familiar with it, I hope you'll give it a chance before it vanishes like so many great veggie restaurants in the Bay Area have already done. The food there is somewhat similar to Garden Fresh, which is in Mountain View at Shoreline and El Camino and also well worth your patronage.
