Guest guest
Has anyone else read this fascinating book, "Toxin" by Robin Cook? It's a fictional (but is it?) account a surgeon whose life is quite hectic - working tons of hours, sharing joint custody with his daughter and takes his daughter to eat at a food joint for burgers and fries. Through a very common practice of meat production, his daughter gets E.coli and becomes gravely ill. He sets out on a one man crusade against the beef industry and discovers the practice of feeding "cattle to cattle" and the barbaric way the animals are slaughtered and burgers are produced. The descriptions are quite vivid and not for the week of stomach. It's cool to see a mainstream treatment of what we're all fighting so hard against. Recommend it to your friends as a great "who done it" novel. Cioa4Now, Clyde
