need room for 1 month in modesto

Hi all,

 

I know this is not veggie/AR related but it is a plea

for some Bay Area assistance.

 

I have a one month work contract in Modesto and I was

wondering if anyone had any ideas on cheap housing

accomodations. From what I understand, the contract

begins Aug 5 and ends Aug 28. I'll be working four

days a week, on one of two shifts (2pm - 2am or 7am -

6 pm.)

 

I'd sure like to beat the hotel rates which would set

me back at least $700 (assuming 16 nights.) Does

anyone have any ideas on how I can find a one-month

sublet or if there is a university nearby that I could

possibly rent a dorm room from (since it is summer

session)? or a $30/night hotel room (I don't want to

spend much more than $500 for the month.)

 

Any ideas would be great!
