Dear All,

 

Thanks so much to everyone for showing up at the potluck/party last night. As the host of the event I really appreciate the excellent turnout and all the new members. To keep the group going far into the future we need as many members to host as many diverse events as possible. In light of this here is a South Bay Veggies Wish List:

 

 

More women to host events. Ladies, what kind of events would you like to see? Museum tours (perhaps of the Stanford Museum, the San Jose Museum of Art, or some of the fine museums of San Francisco). Movie nights? Either at a member’s home or at a local theater. Perhaps walking tours of arty or historical neighborhoods? A trip to Carmel? San

Francisco? Monterey? Wine tasting? North Beach? Napa or Calistoga or St. Helena? Willow Glen? Palo Alto? Yoga or meditation? A lecture? Spiritual events ? Let us know and we'll help you host the event :-)

Someone who has access to a pool and or hot-tub and can host a potluck/party on any weekend this summer.

More folks to host events/day trips or even overnight trips in locales such as Monterey, Santa Cruz County, Carmel, San Francisco, Berkeley, or anywhere that is a day’s drive from the South Bay.

Folks to distribute fliers from the group to as many locations as possible, whether or not they are in the South Bay. Bookstores, vegetarian restaurants, Whole Foods, health-food stores, places such as REI, colleges, Piccadilly Circus, spiritual centers, or just about anywhere you think our flyer would be appropriate. Also announcing the group’s existence anytime you're at an appropriate event and also by disseminating information to your friends, family, and via the Web and via e-mail.
