Well...here it is...the official 1ST ANNOUNCEMENT of the 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION of the South Bay Vegetarian Society! It's hard to believe that it has been a year since a handful of interested folks got together to form the SBVS! In honor of our first successful year, SBVS will be hosting a 1st-Year Anniversary Celebration on SUNDAY, JUNE 8, 2003, from 5:00-8:30 PM, at one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the South Bay area-- at Di Lac Vegetarian Cuisine in San Jose! Schedule: 5:00-6:00 PM: Social Hour (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available on a cash bar basis) 6:00-7:30 PM: Buffet Dinner. All food will be vegan, and will include the following selections: + Appetizers: Spring AND Summer Rolls + Soup: Di Lac Wonton Special + FIVE entrees: > String Bean and Tofu > Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetable Combo > Kung Pao 'Chicken' (gluten) > Satay Tofu > Basil Eggplant 7:30-8:30 PM: Dessert Social. Di Lac has assured us that the dessert will be unique and delicious (and NOT on the regular menu)! Cost: $15.00 if received at SBVS mailbox NO LATER than SATURDAY, 5/24 $20.00 if received at SBVS mailbox NO LATER than SATURDAY, 5/31 $25.00 if received at SBVS mailbox NO LATER than WEDNESDAY, 6/4 > After 6/4/2003, new reservations will cost $30.00 and ONLY will be available on the basis of a cancelled prior reservation. (Note: The additional costs incurred due to late respondents is for the restaurant having to prepare food beyond what was planned.) Capacity: 80 people maximum--firm! Payment Information: Make check or money order payable to Michael Goldberger (SBVS Treasurer) and mail payment to the following address: SBVS P.O. Box 865 Cupertino, CA 95015-0865 Be sure to include a mailing address, and daytime phone number on the check or money order. If you would like a confirmation that SBVS has received your payment, please include an e-mail address as well. If you do not have an e-mail address, then indicate that you would like to receive your confirmation by phone. Finally, make sure to indicate the names of the individuals for whom you are making a reserving, and to include the proper amount of payment for all the individuals in your party. Questions?
