Please call or email your local Assembly member and encourage them to support AB 732. It is a really simple minute or so phone call and the offices of my local Senator Byron Sher and Assembly member Rebecca Cohn have been really nice. PETA has an easy link that allows you to quickly find your local government officials by entering your zip code if you are unaware of who they are. Thank you in advance for your support and for giving a voice to those that cannot speak for themselves!! Please note: forwarded message attached URGENT: Landmark Anti-Confinement Bill for Farmed Animals Needs Your Support California Assembly Bill 732, which is scheduled for a vote before the Assembly Agriculture Committee on April 30, would eliminate the most egregious forms of confinement for pregnant pigs and veal calves by prohibiting tethering and crates that do not allow animals to turn around or groom themselves naturally. Furthermore, it would put an end to the worst forms of iron deficient diets for veal calves that cause weakness and anemia. Please contact the chair of the California Agriculture Committee as well as your own Assembly member by Tuesday, April 29 and ask that they support AB 732.
