Hi ,

 

Although this is in SF, thought some of y'all might be interested in this

Music Concert with an enviro theme! Some big name performers and approx. 50

non-profits will be exhibiting. All the food at the We the Planet festival

is vegetarian & organic. I inquired as to the percentage of vegan food

available. I was just told " there is only one item on the entire menu that

has cheese. Otherwise the entire menu is Vegan. " That is really great!!

 

Bay Area Vegetarians will be sponsoring a table at the event. If you'll be

attending, please come by and visit with us!

WTP is a tour of Music, Spoken Word, Consciousness & Activism.

 

WTP kicks off with a one-off concert event in Golden Gate Park's Speedway

Meadow on Sunday April 20th, 11am -- 5pm.

 

Performances from Alanis Morissette (acoustic), Cake, Bonnie Raitt

(acoustic), Concrete Blonde, The Coup and De La Soul.

 

Speakers include Woody Harrelson, Van Jones of the Ella Baker Center, Aya

DeLeon, Randy Hayes from Rainforest Action Network, Global Exchange's Medea

Benjamin, and some of this years' very talented Youth Speaks Poetry Slam

Winners.

 

WTP aims to be the model of concert/festival/tour sustainability. We all

know we live in a world full of problems, WTP will show we also live in a

world full of solutions. Support Julia¹s non profit Circle of Life while

going to this great show! Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door.

(To avoid delays on the day of the event, you're encouraged to buy your
