Wildlife Rescue Family Day and Baby Bird Shower You are invited to learn about our local wildlife! Free! Saturday, April 5, 2003 10AM-1:30PM Cubberley Community Center 4000 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto Room H-1 LEARN -- about wildlife rehabilitation. Spring is coming and so are baby birds and squirrels. Here’s your chance to learn how we care for injured or orphaned baby animals. If you wish you can bring a baby gift (unscented toilet tissue, king-size pillowcases, cotton receiving blankets, paper towels, or a donation.) Also find out how you can be a volunteer for Wildlife Rescue. SEE -- our live American Kestrel and Gopher Snake that visit schools and community groups for educational presentations. PICK UP – tips on how we can protect our local wildlife and easily and humanely solve problems with wildlife. ENJOY– activities for children. WIN – prizes! Wildlife Rescue, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that rescues and rehabilitates over 2300 injured and orphaned wild animals each year: Eastern Gray Squirrels, American Robins, Northern Mockingbirds, Mourning Doves, House Finches, House Sparrows, Opossums, and many more wild animals. The animals are released when they are able to care for themselves. We also assist the public with information on local wildlife.
