topic is the same as the event Lyman is organizing.

The topic is different:

Saturday, March 1, 2003, 7:00 p.m.

SPECIAL LECTURE: THE CROHN’S DISEASE & DAIRY CONNECTION, by Dr. Michael Greger

Location: Institute on Aging, 3600 Geary Blvd (between Palm

& Arguello), San Francisco

Suggested Door Donation: $5 for non-members, $1 for members

Light refreshments will follow the lecture.

Dr. Michael Greger foretold the Mad Cow Disease disaster years before it

struck. Dr. Greger now goes on record with his predictions for the next big

national food scare – the link between Para tuberculosis bacteria in milk and

Crohn’s disease, a chronic and debilitating disorder of the digestive tract.

Considered one of the most censored stories in the American press, this

potential public health disaster of tragic proportions continues to get front-

page coverage around the rest of the world. This would be an excellent lecture

for those of you still including dairy in your diet or for your non-vegan

friends and family. Those who heard him speak for the society last August know

he is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining as well.

Dr. Greger is a nationally recognized speaker on a number of important public

health and social justice issues.
