Guest guest
I'm helping a friend publicize this event. Dr. Michael Greger is a phenomenal speaker - very enthusiastic, entertaining, and informative. If we don't get enough people confirmed, the dinner will be canceled, but probably not the lecture. I hope you can make it! Lyman --- http://www.generationv.org/events.htm 3/2 Sunday - Mountain View - Dinner & Lecture with Dr. Michael Greger, one of the best veg*n speakers, will lecture on " CORPORATE GLOBALIZATION: TRADING AWAY OUR RIGHT TO PROTECT ANIMALS " Dr. Greger will share his research about how global trade agreements and institutions such as GATT, NAFTA, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) have affected animals. Guest guest
A message from Lori: Just wanted to give one last pitch for the March 2nd event that I'm hosting. I know Dr. Gregor is giving many talks in the bay area this week. Dr. Gregor has been traveling throughout the country raising money for environmental, animal rights, vegetarian and vegan organizations. Our event is different: 1) 4 course yummy vegan meal 2) Chance to chat during dinner and before the talk 3) The dinner is being given to show Dr. Greger that the community wants to give something back for his time. 4) Guaranteed to be informative and entertaining (o.k. this isn't unique to this event, but it is unique to Dr. Greger!) Suggested donation of $20 includes a four course gourmet vegan dinner and a talk by Dr. Greger on how globalization and corporate controls are overriding local, national and international environmental and/or animal rights laws. If I don't get a few more confirmations by Sunday Feb 23, I will have to cancel the caterer! Tammy and Chris will also be setting up to accept PayPal for this event in case you prefer that to sending me a check. Please check out their website after Friday Feb 21 for paypal details.... -lh Details listed on http://www.generationv.org/events.htm
