Hi,

 

The first-ever meeting of the book

club is on Sunday, Feb. 23rd, at 4 pm, at the woody

" Blue Rock Shoot " cafe at 14523 Big Basin Way in

downtown Saratoga.

 

We will be discussing the first 200 pages of

" Dominion: the power of man, the suffering of animals,

and the call to mercy " by Matthew Scully.

 

We will discuss the remaining 215 pages at the next

meeting.

 

If you want to join the discussion, but can't get a

hold of a copy of the book by Sunday, you can get a

taste of the book's theme by going to the audio

archives on www.npr.org and hear Matthew Scully's

interview on " Talk of the Nation " that aired Feb. 12.

 

I'd appreciate RSVP's for Sunday so I can reserve as

large a table or two as required. Thanks. :)
