Guest guest
MARCH FOR PEACE- SAN FRANCISCO JANUARY 18, 2003 Starts at 11 AM at the Ferry Building INTEREST IN SOUTH BAY VEGGIE CONTINGENT? As some of you may have heard, a March for Peace is being organized for Saturday January 18 in San Francisco. The march begins at 11 AM at the foot of Market Street and then proceeds up Market to the Civic Center. At Civic Center there will be a rally and speeches. On the same day, there will also be a companion march in Washington, DC. A flyer describing this march can be found at: www.internationalanswer.org/pdf/Jan18_SF_Eng_flyer.pdf The march in San Francisco seems like a great opportunity to register concern over the Administration’s plans for Iraq-- particularly given the lack of evidence in support of the Administration’s claims regarding Iraq-- and to register displeasure with the current Administration in general. Given the possible interest of some in South Bay Veggies to attend this march, I propose we organize a group to carpool to this event (actually carpool to the BART station in Colma and then take BART to the starting point of the march near Embarcadero Center). NOTE: The march will end early enough for people to still return to the South Bay Area to attend the SBVS monthly potluck at 6 PM in the evening. Please RSVP to me by Wednesday evening if you are interested in joining a group to go up to SF for the march. *I would appreciate as early a notification of your interest as possible.* I will contact those who RSVP with the final plans for meeting and carpooling. Here is our chance to get the Media and the Administration to notice the level of displeasure with what is going on! Take care, Julio E-mail: jamzemail Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
