New Year's Eve Movie & Get Together - More Details

Hi everybody! This e-mail has largely the same info as I sent out before, but I've added a few details so I'd recommend you read it all the way through even if you read my last one -

I thought it would be nice to ring in the New Year together. This will be a nice low-key get together. If you're looking for a wild time - and I do applaud that! - I suggest you make plans elsewhere.

But for those of you who are interested in just kicking back, here's what I have in mind for the 31 of December:

The 7:35 pm showing of the movie "Adaptation," at Century CineArts in Palo Alto,

3000 El Camino Real Bldg #6, Palo Alto, CA, 94306. I'm watching the paper to make sure the time does not suddenly change! I'll be in front of the theater at 7 with the "South Bay Vegetarian Society" sign. If you don't know what I look like - I'm Caucasion, about 5'3", with long brown hair. Please be at the theater no later than 7:20 - I will be going inside at that time.

Some of you have asked about a pre-movie dinner. I am going to be at my sister's birthday party earlier that day, so I will not have time for dinner. I suggest everyone eat beforehand, or organize a dinner outing amongst yourselves if you'd like.

At 10 pm, we can go back to my apartment in Mountain View, for games, (responsible) drinking, and laughing at Dick Clark's guests in Time Square.

People are welcome to participate in both or just one of these events. If you want to come to my apartment, please let me know if the presence of a cat bothers you, for allergies or other reasons. I'll make sure the boxes are clean and the house is all vacuumed, and Meelo may adjourn to the bedroom as we stay in the living room. Or maybe he can visit his grandparents. Just let me know if it's an issue, and I'll do what I can do accommodate.

People are welcome to bring food to share, but it's not a requirement.

For the movie, it would be nice to know if you're coming, but you can also just show up at the last minute. For the gathering at my place, please RSVP to me by Monday, December 30, as there is limited space here. (e-mail sakishler or call 650-968-4507). I will provide my address privately to anyone who responds. Please feel free to call or e-mail with any questions.
