Guest guest
Hi all, o.k. the play is at the Lucie Stern theater in Palo Alto, 1305 Middlefield Rd., to be exact. Actually, the place looks like some sort of schoolish brown bunch of buildings, with a small parking lot, and there aren't that many street lights to find it, but it's a block or two from the intersection of Middlefield and Embarcadero, on the right hand side of the street. Just go to the buildings and there should be people to ask where the theater is if there are no signs on the entrance door. People will be lining up and the doors will open at about 7:45 I'd guess. The play is the final dress rehearsal performance, of " On Golden Pond, " which entitles the TheatreWorks director to pause the play at his/her discretion, but this has never happened in my experience attending these final dress rehearsal performances. They seem to have gotten all the kinks out beforehand. The play will run for a month, if you want to see it and can't attend our outing. I suggest we get in line at 7 or so (I know it will be cold, so bring a warm jacket) because it's a first come first serve queue to get in. We could meet to eat at 6 or so if people who are interested in going are interested in eating b4hand. I suggest the Bay Leaf cafe, since it's a vegee restaurant and it's good eats while we support the home team, so to speak. The Bay Leaf Cafe is at Ramona St. next to the Jute salon at the University avenue/Ramona St. intersection in Palo Alto. If interested, reply and we'll get this thing all set up nice and tight.
