Hi there,

 

Since there have been postings for Sacramento events and a hike in SF, I

thought reposting this East Bay Thanksgivng Potluck notice wasn't too far off

topic. Usually 1-3 people travel up from the South Bay.....

Restaurant outing to Layonna's, the all-veg chinese restaurant in Oakland.

Lots of food items, pleasant environment.

 

358 11th Street [2 blocks south of Broadway, near 12th Street BART]

Sunday -- 12:30 pm until 2 pm....

 

 

Format -- Steamtable buffet with individual 2-3 item combos for under $5 and

unlimited all you can eat buffet for $8; soup and tea included for all.

 

From there its an easy walk to Chinatown, the Oakland Museum, Lake Merrit, etc.

 

Since we are beginning to have veggie restaurants change to mixed formats --

Vege House in Berkeley, for example -- its is important to show support for

all our veg eateries. And I know that Layonna has had a hard time most of this

year.

 

Also, pls put Thanksgiving Day down for our 30th annual East Bay UnTurkey

Potluck.

 

That's Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, 11/28, 4:30 pm. The time allows people

to 'visit' with non-veg family members and still come to a real Veg*n dinner

later. I have to rent our space at the Unitarian Fellowship in Berkeley, so

pls let me know if you are interested in attending....
