Upcoming Planning Meeting

Hi, SBVS listserve members!

 

I just want to take a moment to thank all of the folks involved

in planning SBVS activities for all of their efforts over the past

six(6) months. WOW! Just look at all the things that we've done in our

short existence: monthly potlucks/dinners (Steve R, Sandy, Sarah, Dave O,

Shoshana, Glenn R, Glenn M), day trips/hikes(Dave O, Glenn R), July 4th

potluck/fireworks evening(Sarah), star parties(Julio), camping trips(Dina,

Dave O), comedy night (Dina), miniature golf(Sarah), and uncounted hours of

good conversation, great comraderie, and loads of great vegy food! Yum! Great

job to all!

 

Thanks to Glenn M. for the most recent potluck in South San Jose--

which was very well-attended, had great food, and fun/funny games!

Sarah--you truly are the songmaster, and Dina--the Queen of Comedy!

 

Thanks to all who attended SBVS Star Party #2 at Joseph D. Grant park

last weekend. Although we didn't see too many meteors during the Perseid

meteor shower, the food was great, the air was clear, and the discussion

quite lively! Thanks to Jimmy for playing a mean slide guitar!

To help assure that we finish the year with equal or greater success,

let's meet one more time this Summer for planning the activities that we

want to do between now and the end of the year. All interested SBVS

members who would like to take part in planning the rest of the year's

activities are cordially invited to attend our next planning meeting on

[Note that this meeting is during the 3-day Labor Day weekend.]

 

LOCATION: Memorial Park, in Cupertino (by the picnic tables)

 

Also--for those who are interested--we can go out to dinner

following the meeting. As always--I'll be bringing the " big events

planning schedule " --so please take some time to think about what it is

that you want to see SBVS do over the next four months...as well as

which activities/events that you would be interested in leading.

 

I look forward to seeing you on September 1st...when we will be planning

the future festivities of the SBVS...thank you!
