Hi again, South Bay Veggies--

 

By an overwhelming margin, most persons have opted to

change the meeting originally scheduled for Saturday, 5/25th,

to SUNDAY, May 26th. Thus, I have re-scheduled the planning

meeting until SUNDAY, May 26th, 2002, @ 12:00 Noon.

 

At this time, I have narrowed meeting location options to the following

possibilities:

 

1) RANCHO SAN ANTONIO COUNTY PARK(Cupertino): Take I-280 and exit

SOUTH on Foothill Blvd. Make a right at the traffic light onto

Cristo Rey Drive. Continue for about a mile...and pass the

traffic circle and continue until you see the entrance to Rancho

San Antonio on your left. Park in the lower lot, and look for other

South Bay Veggie folks near the benches next to the restroom area.

 

ASIDE: Those who intend to do some hiking may want to bring

hiking shoes, sunglasses, and a backpack with water and

snack food...and perhaps sunscreen and/or insect repellant

 

2) LOS GATOS PARK: Pending further investigation.

 

I will leave another message on SATURDAY, 5/25th to confirm

Since I still am narrowing-down in which park to hold the meeting,

I will provide this information later Friday evening to all who have

RSVPd that they will be attending the meeting...so please make sure to

LEAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER WHEN YOU RSVP so that I can call you back with

directions to the park.

 

If we meet on SATURDAY, then the starting time will be 2:00 PM.

If we meet on SUNDAY, then the starting time will be 12:00 NOON.

Regardless of which day we meet, the schedule will be about the same:

 

10-20 minutes for socializing

15-30 minutes for brainstorming what type of events to hold

20-30 minutes for developing the master events schedule

for the South Bay Vegetarian Society thru December, 2002

20-30 minutes to delegate coordination of the scheduled events

10-20 minutes for 'decompressing'

60-120 minutes of exploring the area for finding locations for

holding South Bay Veg Society events

60-120 minutes for DINNER/location TBD by those in attendance

???? minutes following dinner for more exploration and socializing;

we may very well head into Palo Alto, Santa Cruz, or even

San Francisco...those in attendance will make the decision
