Guest guest
It looks like about 25 people coming to the vegetarian potluck/party I am hosting at 4PM this Saturday, including 3 new-age/bluesy musicians (Alek Vila, Daniel Jacob, and Tarika from LA where people have only one name who will do a few tunes and maybe jam with others who bring instruments. If you are coming, and have stadium seats (folding back supports for sitting on the floor) please bring them, as I only have about a dozen chairs. Does anyone know where to buy these stadium seats at a reasonable price? I am encouraging everyone who comes to bring VEGAN food only; no animal products. No honey, milk, butter, eggs, fish, chicken etc. If you bring food with animal products please LABEL IT and it will be placed seperately and/or tossed. If this is difficult for you, try just bringing some fresh organic fruit. Fruit is good. Please reply by email OFFLIST to RSVP and for directions, and be willing to sit on the floor if you RSVP at the last minute and then show up without your own stadium seat. Thanks and Best Regards, stevegan2001
Guest guest
Excuse me, I'm new here, but if someone brings non-vegan food you would consider TOSSING it? Why? I hope I'm not the only one here who embraces the positive environmental impact of eating a plant-based diet. Throwing food away is an insult to the Earth and to the organism that was killed (be it plant, animal, et al) to be your food; I can barely fathom wasting food like that, especially in this group's context. I would suggest if someone brings " objectionable " food that one ask them to take it back home with them, give it to a homeless person down the street, etc. Respectfully, Ilana > >It looks like about 25 people coming to the vegetarian potluck/party >I am hosting at 4PM this Saturday, including 3 new-age/bluesy >musicians (Alek Vila, Daniel Jacob, and Tarika from LA where >people have only one name who will do a few tunes and maybe >jam with others who bring instruments. > >If you are coming, and have stadium seats (folding back supports for >sitting on the floor) please bring them, as I only have about a >dozen chairs.
