Guest guest Posted July 8, 2003 Report Share Posted July 8, 2003 Herb and Tomato Cheeze Spread Source: previously posted to vegan recipes list 1 cup water 1/3 cup quick cooking rolled oats (may substitute if gf; try quinoa flakes) 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes 3 tbsp unsalted tomato paste 2 tbsp tahini 1 tsp salt 1 tsp onion granules 1/2 tsp garlic granules 1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves 1/4 tsp paprika 1/8 tsp ground dill seed a pinch of cayenne pepper Place all ingredients in a blender and process until the oats are finely ground and mixture is completely smooth. Pour into a saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until very thick stirring constantly. Chill thoroughly before serving.
