Guest guest
The notes are from the original poster (D. Klement on nutsaboutveggies). But don't they sound delish? BL Chrissy's Sweet 'n' Sour Tomato Salad 7 tomatoes 1 small yellow onion Dressing 1/2 cup each of sugar, vinegar and vegetable oil salt and pepper to taste. Thinly slice the tomatoes, Cut the onion in half through root end then thinly slice the into half circles. In a large bowl toss together all of the ingredients. Serve at room temperature. **** Next time I'm going to make the dressing separate and then dress the veggies as tomatoes vary in size and this makes a lot of dressing. Hungarian cucumber salad 2 large waxed cucumbers-sliced ( I peeled mine) 2 tsp salt 3 tbsp cider or white vinegar 1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar 1/4 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp pepper (white or black) 1/2 clove of garlic minced (we like garlic so I used a whole large clove) 1 white onion chopped 1 cup sour cream (like Tofutti) paprika to garnish In a bowl sprinkle cucumber slices with salt, stir to coat, and chill 1 hour. Mix vinegar, sugar, paprika , pepper and garlic - set aside Squeeze liquid fro cucumbers, return to bowl and discard liquid Add vinegar mixture , onion and sour cream to bowl; stir to coat Sprinkle additional paprika over top Chill 1-2 hours ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What does Yhwh Elohim require of you?
