Millet or Rice Pudding

Source: Weimar Cookbook - vintage edition

 

Mix together:

 

4 cups cooked rice or millet

1 cup raisins

 

Put into baking pan and sprinkler with 1/2 cup slivered almonds and a little

grated orange rind. Over this pour cashew milk and bake for 3/4 hour.

 

Milk:

 

1 cup cashews

4 cups water

1/2 cup dates

Pinch of salt

1 tsp. vanilla

 

Blend until smooth.
