Guest guest
Do any of you birth your babies at home or support a mother's choice to birth at home? You may be interested in supporting the UT Friends of Midwives this Wed from 11:30-12:30 at the Capital. For more info please to UtahfriendsofMidwives/ We need EVERYONE WHO POSSIBLY CAN COME to be at the capitol from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The Press Conference is scheduled for Noon. How can you help? *SHOW UP. Bring your kids and come to the capitol. We need signers of our " I choose the Midwives Model of Care " poster and names for the stickers on the " I was born at home into the hands of a midwife " poster. These will be up for signing from 11:30-12:00. *We need a volunteer to print up the fact sheets found on www.cfmidwifery.org (the drum on my toner cartiage is scratched--so someone else needs to do it.) Our " official " color is hot pink, so pink paper is preferable for these flyers. There are 6 flyers so maybe someone could volunteer to make 100 copies of the first 3 (or however many you can do). I have ordered 200 brochures each of the Midwives Model of Care (CfM) and the Certified Professional Midwife (NARM)--but I'm afraid that I may not get them in time, so we really need these other flyers for legislators/members of the press. *We DESPERATELY need more visual displays (as in, we only have the 2 previously mentioned posters). Print up " non-incriminating " birth stories to go on a table. Leave out your name and your midwife's. We're looking for " I had a great experience " stories and " I loved prenatal care with a midwife " and " My midwife was so watchful that she even knew when it was necessary to go to the hospital " stories. Feel free to call with any questions! Julie Sloan (801)898-BABY
