Guest guest
If anybody knows where this question might be more appropriate to post, please let me know. I haven't found any Celiac lists except for these two. My question: Has anybody with Celiac/Gluten Intolerance ever had a baby or babies with birth defects? I am newly diagnosed, through Enterolab, this past year as having gluten intolerance. I have had 7 children, 4 healthy and 3 with major birth defects. Major meaning it took two of their lives and one is living with severe heart defects. I know that because of nutritional deficiencies, this is a possibility. In fact, I'm suspecting that it 'might' be a answer to this. Our children have had: Baby #2: Anencephaly Baby # 4: Diaphragmatic Hernia Baby # 6: Congenital Heart Defects/Heterotaxia Syndrome We've been told that we don't need to be tested genetically because the problems are totally unrelated. So, it's always been a mystery to us. I know that God made each of our children with a special purpose and I have graciously accepted and appreciated God's precious gifts to us (even of the ones that came and went in a matter of days), but I have always wondered if there was some connection that we we not catching. If anybody has any feedback, it would be interesting to me. Thanks so much. Guest guest
Dear Lynette, I don't know the answer to your question about Celiac/Gluten Intolerance and birth defects, but I do want to say I'm sorry for your losses. Although you had three of your precious gifts for only a short time, I know you were blessed by their presence. May Baby # 8 be born in good health and wellness. Sincerely, LaDonna >>>I know that God made each of our children with a special purpose and I have graciously accepted and appreciated God's precious gifts to us (even of the ones that came and went in a matter of days), but I have always wondered if there was some connection that we we not catching.
