Guest guest Posted February 12, 2003 Report Share Posted February 12, 2003 Brown Rice with Sunflower Seeds and Grapes Source: Pillsbury 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 stalk celery, finely chopped 1 cup brown rice, raw 1 Tbsp. oil 1 - 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh thyme or 1 tsp. dried thyme 2 1/2 cups chicken-style broth, vegan 2 Tbsp. sunflower kernels 3/4 cup halved seedless red grapes Cook onion and celery in oil until crisp-tender. Stir in rice and thyme. Add broth, bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover, simmer 45 - 50 minutes.
