Taco Soup

Source: Culinary DeLights/Blue Mt. TV

 

2 cans diced tomatoes

1 - 15 oz. can tomato sauce

1 - 4 oz. can diced green chilies

2 cloves garlic - minced

1 can garbanzos - drained

4 cups water

2 Tbsp. sugar

1 1/2 tsp. chili powder

2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. cumin

 

Combine in saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes.

 

Toppings:

 

sliced olives

sliced green onions

sliced avocado

cilantro

Sour Supreme (or other sour cream substitute)

 

To serve: Place corn chips in soup bowl. Cover with soup. Add toppings.
