Guest guest
Hi, all! I have the BEST pizza crust recipe. It is from the back of Bob's Red Mill GF garbanzo and fava bean flour bag: 1 T yeast (I use one packet) 2/3 cup Bob's Red Mill GF Garbanzo & Fava Flour 1/2 cup tapioca flour 2 T Soyquick (or for those DariFree users, you could use that - any powdered milk sub) 2 tsp. xanthan gum 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vegan gelatin 1 tsp. Italian Herb seasoning (I do NOT do this, as my children would pick out the " dirty " or " green " stuff) 2/3 cup warm water 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. olive oil 1 tsp. cider vinegar cooking spray Preheat oven to 425F. Blend yeast, flours, milk sub powder, xanthan gum, salt, gelatin sub, and herb seasoning in a big mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients. Add liquid to dry, and mix for 3 minutes on high. Add water if dough is too stiff. The dough will resemble soft bread dough. Coat a pan or pizza stone (I use stone) with cooking spray (I use a Pampered Chef spritzer so I can put my own oil in it - those commercial sprays are pure chemicals). Sprinkle extra tapioca starch onto the dough, then press the dough into the pan with wet fingers (otherwise it will stick to you bigtime). Bake crust for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, add toppings (of course, in my house that's only red sauce and Road's End chreese sauce - anything else would be SO weird and unacceptable! ha ha) and bake for another 20-25 minutes. This is really so good - and VERY easy! You don't even need a rolling pin! Best wishes to all, Love, Heidi, mom to Cal, 6, stomach of steel, and Jake, 3, celiac, allergic to corn, dairy, pollen, dust mites and wife to Jeff, super dad and hubby living healthy and happy in Massachusetts
