Parsley and sage pesto (one more comment)

Greetings,

 

One thing I forgot to mention about the pesto sauce is that it freezes really

well. This recipe makes about 2 cups, and I put my pesto into little 1/2

cup plastic containers, and keep them in the freezer. I have kept mine in

the freezer for as long as 4 months, with no loss of flavor. If you keep

yours in the refrigerator, just be aware that it will only keep fresh for a

few days, and after that will start to lose color and flavor.

 

I just take my pesto out of the freezer the day before I plan to use it, and

let it defrost in the refrigerator.
