>>>RE: the following recipe...

we can eat millet!!???

At our house we do. . .but I've heard differing opinions on millet. It is

technically gluten free but there may be cross-contamination issues. What

do others have to say?

>>>I don't know where the Benson Sister's do their shopping but a cup of

cashews costs considerably more then 20-30 cents a quart in Annapolis <G>

So true! I needed cashews before the holiday and paid $5.99 per lb. for

halves at a local grocery store. I felt fortunate to even find raw cashews

at that late date! Usually I buy the small, broken pieces and they are

considerably less! The Benton Sister's don't use any free-fats, so the

cashews are a staple in their cookbook. Someone asked previously if the

Benton Sister's cookbooks were vegan. I've been ill, so am way behind on

chatting on VGF. . .sorry. Yes, the Benton Sister's cookbooks are 100%

plant based (except for honey issue. . .they do use it; easily substituted

if required). Although they are not gluten free, I've been amazed at how

many recipes are usable or adaptable. And as always, I am amazed at their

unique brand of creativity.
