A bit darker than traditional green bean casserole, but an excellent alternative for those with unable to tolerate wheat, gluten, dairy or corn. Ingredients: 1 quart green beans, drained . . 1 1/2 cups Imagine Foods Mushroom Soup . 1 small can or jar mushroom pieces, drained . . 2 Tbsp tapioca, potato, corn or arrowroot starch . 1 cup french fried onions . French Fried Onion Rings Directions: Preheat oven to 350F. In a large casserole dish, combine green beans, mushrooms and one cup In a separate bowl, combine reserved 1/2 cup soup and starch, mixing until well dissolved. Combine starch and green bean mixtures, stir in 1/3 cup bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 or until thick and bubbly. 1/3 cup french fried onions, and top with remaining onions. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until bubbly and sauce has thickened. *Make your own French fried onions by dipping onion pieces in milk/substitute or water and coating with Miss Roben's Bread and Batter Coating Mix; deep fry until crisp and golden.
