Guest guest
Leilani Stevia is a natural sweetener made from a member of the crysthanthemum (sp) family of S. America. It is about 300 times sweeter than sugar and does not affect blood glucose levels because so little of it is used in making anything. It is not artificial like some sugar replacers and that makes it good for all kinds of people. It is available at most HFS now and I can even by it at my local wholesale grocery now too. It comes in several varieties (green powder, white powder (refined) and a clear liquid). I prefer the green because it is more natural, and I find the white has a slightly unusual aftertaste. The liquid is often mixed with alcohol so aside from the bad taste it also has the chance of grain contamination because of that.
