In saucepan put the recommended amount of hot water and 1/2 tsp. of salt. 2. Bring the water to a boil. 3. Add the recommended amount of grain. 4. Reduce the heat to low, cover and let cook the recommended amount of time. COOKING CHART: One Cup Dry Grain = 2 1/2 cups cooked grain. Whole Kernels: 1 cup brown rice plus 3 cups water/cook for 1 hour 1 cup buckwheat groats* plus 3 cups water/cook for 1 hour 1 cup millet plus 4 cups water/cook for 1 hour Cereal Flakes: 1 cup rice flakes plus 2 cups water/cook for 15 minutes Course Meal: 1 cup cornmeal plus 4 cups water/cook for 10 minutes 1 cup whole grain Cream of Rice** plus 4 cups water/cook for 10 minutes. *Soak overnight prior to cooking. **To make this: blend 1 cup brown rice to a course meal consistency in a dry blender.
